Agentic Test Automation

Agentic Test Automation turns test intent into working, validated automation.

The TestFirst Agent understands the intended test journey, explores your application, builds the automation, and validates it against the expected behavior.

See how TestFirst turns requirements and documentation into working automation in a few steps.

How It Works

The agent can use:

  • Test case steps and expected behaviour

  • Source documents from selected Test Scopes

  • Instructions provided through Additional context

  • Product knowledge from AI Memory

Create Automation

From an automated (Test type) test case in the TestFirst Editor:

  1. Click

  2. Confirm the relevant Test Scope, if applicable.

  3. Add any instructions in Additional context (optional).

  4. Click START.

  5. Follow the agent in the Preview panel.

  6. Review and accept the generated automation.

Use Additional context when you want to provide specific testing instructions, test data, scenarios, conditions, or areas for the agent to focus on.

Refine Your Automation

Once accepted, the generated automation can be edited and maintained like any other TestFirst automated test.

Want more control?

Refine the generated automation using the Recorder or edit the Gherkin directly in the TestFirst Editor.
